The Moss Park Portrait Project
A park changes dramatically over the course of a day. Two people may be in Moss Park every day and yet never see each other.
We wanted to see a range of a park’s uses and meet the diversity of individuals in an attempt to truthfully record the experiences of all the people who need and use Moss Park.
It was called the Moss Park Portrait Project, and from 7 a.m. to midnight, the artists–Iain Lew Kee, Caitlyn Chisamore, Nils Andrew, Beau Gomez, Alma Ahmed, Roy LoVerde and Yasin Osman–captured the faces of people who live, work and play in Moss Park and together painted a picture of a day in the life of a park.
