Learn more about More Moss Park
When communities come together to talk about shared priorities and discuss how we can shape the future together — and preserve what’s important — we make our neighbourhoods better for all.
The City of Toronto and The 519 have been working together with the community to create a proposal for new facilities and park space in Moss Park. This proposed redevelopment will provide an opportunity to expand programs and spaces in Moss Park at a time when Toronto’s community and recreational facilities face growing demand and changing needs, while ensuring that programs and spaces are accessible and inclusive to everyone who calls Moss Park home.

Community Consultations 2016
From May through September, 2016 the More Moss Park public consultation team talked to members of the Moss Park community about what they’d like to see in new facilities and park space. Team members conducted more than 2,500 conversations designed to gather ideas and advice from local communities. These conversations continue to guide the design and program priorities of this project

Ongoing Community Engagement
We have continued to be engaged in the Moss Park neighbourhood through ongoing events and programming in over the past two years. We have continued to work on the proposed redevelopment by listening to community feedback and priorities raised during the consultation and afterwards. We’ve also been exploring how this project can respond to heightened social need, especially for marginalized communities, while offering recreation facilities and park space that are inclusive and welcoming to all.
