Moss Park Food For Thought

On June 29, community organizers Curran and Jaymie convened a focus group of gardeners, cooks, food enthusiasts and small businesspersons to talk about the role food must play at Moss Park. Topics discussed included raised beds, how to keep fly balls from landing in tomato patches and what kind of resources are needed to run a great community kitchen. There were 30 participants from Regent Park Catering Collective, Moss Park Community Gardens, and Fred Victor House.

From the community garden plot to the communal kitchens that exist through the neighbourhood, food, and the attendant micro-businesses that stem from it, is very much a part of the consultation process.
